Description: This workshop is the perfect place to start if you've been wanting to give curved piecing a try! We'll use two different blocks and go over 3 different methods for piecing your curves. Including pinning, glue basting, and no pins or glue! We'll use your supplied fabric for practice. We won't complete a project in this class, instead we'll focus on building your curve piecing skills.
Curves are like riding a bike, once you get the hang of it you've got it! This will be a fun workshop where you'll get some great practice in. You'll leave class with some completed blocks and the skills and confidence to continue your curved piecing practice.
Class Duration: 2 hours
Students Bring: Students should bring 6-10 fat quarters or larger pieces of scrap fabric to work with. We will provide sewing machines but students are welcome to bring their own if they prefer.
Materials included with Registration: We will supply use of our sewing machines and tools. We'll also provide templates to use for piecing practice. You are also welcome to bring your own curve templates.
Skill Level: Beginner level 3 - Students should have completed 1-2 quilts on their own. Students should be comfortable using a rotary cutter, maintaining a consistent .25" seam allowance (this is key for curves!), and using a sewing machine.

Absolutely! We have machines here that you're welcome to use, but if you'd rather use your own that's just fine.

Not really. We'll be around running the store while you're here and can help you if you have issues with our machines or a small question or two, but if you need more hands-on help with you're sewing we suggest checking out one of our classes instead!
