Car Seat Cover Sew Along 2026
A 6-week sew along where we design, cut, piece, quilt, and assemble our own car seat covers, one step at a time.
This is a figure-it-out-as-you-go kind of project. I'll guide you through every stage with weekly videos and emails, but there's plenty of room to make it your own. No experience required - just bring some curiosity and a willingness to dive into trying something new!

Supply List:
Weโll be designing our covers and creating a detailed supply list during week 1. If youโd like to start gathering materials hereโs a rough idea of youโll need:
- 3-5 yd quilting cotton for the front cover. This will vary depending on the design you create
- 3-3.5 yds canvas or other material for backing
- 1.5-2 yds quilt batting
- 0.5 yds quilting cotton for binding or 7.5-8 yds pre made binding
- 1.5 yds elastic for securing seat base
- 2-3yd cotton cord for ties
- 1.5-2yds knit for seat back
- General sewing supplies and notions
