Intermediate Sewing Level 1 - Zipper Pouch

Description: Do you struggle to get neat looking zippers? Want to learn how to make a great gift? This class is for you! Our zipper pouch class will you teach you all the tips and tricks of working with zippers. We'll go over techniques to ensure a high quality finished product. We'll cover how to get nice neat corners that aren't pinched, beautiful top stitching to give your project a professional look, and how to make the best use of your zipper foot.
Duration: 2.5 hrs
Students Bring: You do not need to bring anything for this class, just show up ready to learn and have fun!
We'll Provide: Students will choose from our selection of quilting cotton fat quarters for their project. We'll use 9" molded zippers for a more modern look. We'll also add interfacing to make our pouches hold their shape better.
We'll supply all the needed machines and tools to complete your project.
You'll leave with: At the end of class you'll take home a completed zipper pouch and a handout with detailed photos and instructions so that you can continue making zip pouches at home!
Skill Level: Intermediate Level 1 - This is a intermediate sewing class. Students should have completed at least 3-5 sewing projects on their own before taking this class.
Students should be comfortable operating a sewing machine, maintaining a consistent seam allowance, be familiar with Right Side vs Wrong Side of fabric, and using a rotary cutter

Absolutely! We have machines here that you're welcome to use, but if you'd rather use your own that's just fine.
