Beginner Sewing - Reusable Gift Bags
Description: Skip the wrapping paper and make reusable gift bags! Fabric bags make wrapping a cinch, and they can be used again and again. In this beginner sewing class you will learn how to create a simple cloth gift bag with a ribbon drawstring. All Tools and materials provided!
Students Will Learn
- The basics of operating a sewing machine
- How to cut fabric with a rotary cutter and ruler
- How to create a channel for ribbon
- How to finish seams
Class Duration: 2 hrs
Students Bring: You do not need to bring anything for this class! We supply all the tools and materials. If you have fabric that you would like to use you are welcome to bring it. Any quilting cotton will work.
Materials Included with Registration: Students will choose fabric from our selection of fat quarters. We will also have a selection of ribbon available.
Skill Level: Beginner
Age Range: 18+ Teens 13 and up may attend with an adult who is also registered.
