The Scanfil Organic Cotton Spool is spun from 100% extra-long staple Pima cotton, mercerized for strength and smoothness. It is precision wound to help maintain even tension and reduce lint. It is certified by GOTS to emphasize both sustainability and ethical production. It’s suitable for both hand and machine work (needle recommendation US 10–14 / NM 70–90). It’s designed not to shrink or bleed, and uses biodegradable dyes and coatings, so it’s a “feel-good” thread inside and out. The wood spool means no plastic!
