Hand Sewing Hexagons - English Paper Piecing for Beginners
Learn EPP with Paige of Ponderosa Creative
Wanna quilt without lugging your machine everywhere? Meet English paper piecing! Hexagons (or hexies) are your new sewing BFF! Paige has made hexie flowers poolside, creekside, on a picnic after a long hike, lounging on the couch, in coffee shops, on the beach, at breweries, and even in a bar while waiting for a date to arrive. It truly is the perfect on-the-go quilting activity.
In this workshop, we’ll cover all the need-to-knows: making your own templates, packing a travel kit (bonus points if it fits in an old cookie tin), picking fabrics that spark joy, and mastering the gentle art of hand sewing (yes, it’s easier than it sounds). Plus, you’ll leave with ideas for what to actually do with your growing pile of hexies. Besides just admiring how cute they are of course.
Already hexie-obsessed? Feel free to join again and again to keep stitching in a relaxed, community-focused setting.

Absolutely! We have machines here that you're welcome to use, but if you'd rather use your own that's just fine.

Not really. We'll be around running the store while you're here and can help you if you have issues with our machines or a small question or two, but if you need more hands-on help with you're sewing we suggest checking out one of our classes instead!
