Description: Join local artist Sarah Benson to make the tool you never knew you needed! The cobwebber is made for sweeping into high corners and difficult to reach spots. Participants will learn to weave and stitch broomcorn and leave with a functional broom full of unique character. There will be an assortment of natural wood handles to choose from. Open to all beginners. Please be aware that we will be working with damp materials and students may want to bring a small towel for their lap. Broom making is a physical task and moderate hand strength is recommended. 

Duration: 3 hours

Students Bring: Small towel to keep lap dry. Otherwise we will supply all needed materials.

Materials Included:  Broomcorn, nylon twine, wooden broom handle

You'll Leave With:  A beautiful broom ready for sweeping! 

Skill Level: Beginner 

Age Range: This class is designed for adults. Teen 15+ may register with an adult who is also registered for the class.

  • Cancellation Notice: Makers are kindly requested to provide a minimum of 72 hours' notice in the event of needing to cancel or reschedule a class. This advance notice allows us to accommodate other makers and make any necessary adjustments to our schedule.
  • Refunds: Any class cancellations made more than 72 hours in advance will receive either a full refund on a gift card, or a full refund minus a $5 card processing fee to the card used for registration. This fee accounts for the costs associated with the transaction.
  • Late Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the class start time and no shows will forfeit the registration fee.
