Upcycle Sweatshirt Pocket
Not sure what to do with your hands? Make them a pocket!
In this fun and beginner-friendly upcycling class, you’ll learn how to add a custom pocket to any hoodie or sweatshirt. Whether you're fixing a worn-out pocket or upgrading a thrifted gem that came without one (rude), we'll show you how to add a practical and stylish pocket that’s totally your own!
No sewing experience needed—just bring a sweatshirt that could use an upgrade, and we’ll handle the rest!
Class Duration: 2 hours
Students Bring: Hoodie or sweatshirt. If you have fabric you'd like to use for the pocket, bring that too!
Materials included with Registration: Use of sewing machine and tools
You will leave with: A gorgeous pocket on your new favorite sweater
Skill Level: Students should be confident in operating and troubleshooting a sewing machine, maintaining a consistent seam allowance, and be familiar with sewing terminology like RST, WST, backstitch, etc.
Vibe: Confident & Curious A relaxed, social class for folks with some experience. You’ll build on your skills while learning something new, with hands-on instruction and time to connect along the way.
Age Range: Adults 18+ Teens 15 and up may attend with an adult who is also registered

- Cancellation Notice: Makers are kindly requested to provide a minimum of 72 hours' notice in the event of needing to cancel or reschedule a class. This advance notice allows us to accommodate other makers and make any necessary adjustments to our schedule.
- Refunds: Any class cancellations made more than 72 hours in advance will receive either a full refund on a gift card, or a full refund minus a $5 card processing fee to the card used for registration. This fee accounts for the costs associated with the transaction.
- Late Cancellations: Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the class start time and no shows will forfeit the registration fee.

Absolutely! We have machines here that you're welcome to use, but if you'd rather use your own that's just fine.

Not really. We'll be around running the store while you're here and can help you if you have issues with our machines or a small question or two, but if you need more hands-on help with you're sewing we suggest checking out one of our classes instead!
